Presents findings from an effort to tally the Amish population across 28 U.S. states and Ontario for the Religious Congregational Membership Survey (U.S. Religion Census 2010)
Estimates 105,482 baptized members, 145,289 non-baptized members, and 251,000 total adherents within 1,873 church districts across 461 settlements.
The top 3 states by Amish population are Ohio, Pennsylvania and Indiana; Holmes County, OH and Lancaster County, PA have the largest Amish settlements
Projects Amish population to grow to over 900,000 adherents in 927 settlements by 2050
