Historically, Anabaptists emerged as radical reformists during the 1520s Reformation.
Seven Anabaptist traditions include the Dutch-Russian Mennonites, Swiss Mennonites/Swiss Brethren, Amish, Brethren-German Baptists, Hutterites, Apostolic Christians/Nazarenes, and the Bruderhof. Histories of each are given.
Many of these seven branches were shook up in the 1800s and 1900s, with Old Order, Conservative, and mainline expressions emerging.
